Temple Israel of Greater Miami

The Winter Jewish Music Concert and Temple Israel of Greater Miami will present a concert honoring Winter Jewish Music Concert Artistic Director Alan Mason for his 25 years of service to Temple Israel and the larger Jewish community.
A new addition to the concert program is Anthony Mordecai Tzvi Russell, who will present portions of his recent concert with Alan Mason at Washington's Kennedy Center. A critic said of that performance, "Russell’s voice – to my ears – was perhaps the most beautiful I have heard in person."

Other special performers at the concert will include the world famous Amernet String Quartet, and Karina Zilberman, the Director of Jewish Family Life & Culture at New York’s 92nd Street Y and the creator of the famed Shababa program. The concert will also feature the Second Avenue Jewish Chorale, and some of the best performers from past Winter Jewish Music Concerts.

The concert will end with the world premiere of a special work of Jewish music commissioned in honor of Alan Mason. The composer is Michael Ochs, whose compositions have been recorded by Josh Groban and other leading performers, and who is the composer of a song which was named Song of the Year by the Gospel Music Association (Dove Award).

Then, after the concert, there will be a gala dessert reception.

The concert will be held in the Bertha Abess Sanctuary of Temple Israel of Greater Miami, 137 N.E. 19th Street, Miami, FL.

Tickets can be purchased now at JewishConcert.org or by calling 1-800-838-3006. Sponsorship opportunities are available online or by calling Joel Berger at 305-573-5900.
